BrickEd&More is partnering with New Healthcare Concepts, Inc. by assisting in the sponsorship of NHC’s video project. BrickEd&More’s team will lead a senior/adult activity which includes Lego® Bricks. NHC is so excited to have BrickEd&More included in our video project and wish to thank Dr. Shirley Disseler, Tom Disseler, Ryan Disseler, and their staff for assisting in sponsoring our video marketing event.
BrickEd&More is an innovative program that focuses on STEAM education and the use of LEGO® Bricks to enhance learning. Consumers can choose from a list of exciting activities such as on-site field trips, camps, birthday parties, teacher trainings, business team-building activities, and adult programs. New Healthcare Concepts, Inc. is an innovative nonprofit organization that has developed a village style skilled nursing complex which will provide high quality, sustainable care in skilled nursing homes, adult daycares, and adult/senior independent living. We are committed to providing the best possible care for our residents while also improving their quality of life. Our goal is to provide a village environment where each resident can enjoy the outside and feel safe, secure, and cared for by staff members and also offer a science-based nutrition menu as well as individualized socialization activities.
NHC is also dedicating their goals to developing a process that will fill the gap between what Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurances provide, which will not only allow all classes of income to receive this new standard of care but also deter premature discharge. Currently, NHC is the only nonprofit skilled nursing facility in America thought to exist who will be providing such high quality healthcare along with financial assistance. Our goal is to change current standards by utilizing our innovative strategies for care and environment while providing those in any economic status access to quality care.
New Healthcare Concepts, Inc. was founded by China Grove resident, Susan S. Stirewalt and is managed by a Board of Directors.
We believe that every person deserves dignity regardless of age or financial ability level. That’s why we work hard to assure adequate caregiver ratios in order to create a comfortable living space where residents can live with independence and dignity as they grow older or struggle with illness or disability. You deserve nothing less than the best when it comes to your loved ones!

Our Plan
New Healthcare Concepts, Inc. (NHC) is a nonprofit, charity organization whose mission is to change the current standards of healthcare in skilled nursing homes, adult daycares, and adult/senior apartment living. To achieve this goal, priorities will be set on science-based nutrition methods, socialization, and adequate caregiver ratio provided in a village-built environment that will not only provide a high quality of care but will help enhance the quality of life and assist in maintaining each resident’s dignity.
NHC’s processes will fill the gap between what Medicare/Medicaid and other insurances provide to not only allow all classes of income to receive the new standard of care but to deter premature discharge. Currently, to date, NHC is the only nonprofit thought to exist in the United States that will be providing this type of care and environment along with the assistance in costs. Our standard of care will change the direction of the healthcare industry.
New Healthcare Concepts’ will develop and build a new concept skilled nursing campus consisting of a 24/7 skilled nursing village, a new concept adult daycare facility, and financially assessable adult/senior apartments. Because of cost concerns, the best skilled nursing facilities cannot provide the type of care that is included in our model.
In some cases, there are several adults forced to stay with family, in their homes alone, or with other caregivers that are not properly trained to care for them. With this realization, several individuals are not receiving the adequate care, nutrition, and environment required for a healthy lifestyle. NHC is committed to ensuring that those who require care are cared for in the best way possible. Receiving adequate nutrition and having a healthy living space will assist these individuals to battle mental, physical, or developmental challenges they may be facing. By providing a new model of caregiving along with plans for future frozen microwavable food items available at local grocery stores, NHC can educate adults about their needs as well as give them independence while maintaining standards and dietary expectations.
