Welcome to our Community Engagement and Organizing Program! At 805UndocuFund, we believe in the power of community-driven change. Our Community Engagement and Organizing Program aims to involve undocumented residents of California’s Central Coast in advocating for fair access to culturally sensitive disaster response and preparedness information, financial aid, and recovery resources during disasters. Furthermore, it seeks to raise awareness among the public about the heightened vulnerability and disproportionate effects experienced by undocumented immigrants during climate-induced disasters.

READY Rep Campaign
As part of our commitment to empowering and supporting immigrant communities, 805UndocuFund is proud to introduce the READY Campaign, an integral component of our Community Engagement and Organizing Program. The READY Rep Campaign is an initiative designed to strategically invest in and uplift vulnerable communities, enhancing their resilience against the growing impacts of extreme weather events.
Our goal with the READY Rep Campaign is to mobilize our undocumented immigrants and migrant communities, ensuring that residents are not just participants but leaders in their own preparedness efforts. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate a network of READY Ambassadors—dedicated volunteers who will be trained to advocate for and implement strategies that foster a culture of preparedness and resilience within their communities, especially those disproportionately affected by climate change.
Our Commitment Through the READY Program

Our Commitment Through the READY Program
- Organize Two (2) Community Summits: These summits will bring together community members, leaders, and experts to discuss strategies and actions for enhancing local resilience to extreme weather events.
- Recruit, Train, and Mobilize 40 Volunteers: We will actively recruit and train volunteers who are passionate about community resilience. These volunteers will play a critical role in driving the success of the READY Rep Campaign, serving as advocates and organizers within their communities.
- Host Two (2) READY Rep Ambassadors Over Six Months: READY Rep Ambassadors will be embedded within the community to provide ongoing support, education, and resources, ensuring that the preparedness message is consistently reinforced and acted upon.
- Run a 10-Day Canvassing Campaign: This intensive campaign will engage residents directly, providing them with essential information and resources to prepare for extreme weather events. The canvassing effort will also serve to identify and address specific needs within the community.
