3 Women 3 Ways – radio shows feature world recognized experts and researchers to deliver current, objective and engaging information to raise awareness of social justice issues especially gendered violence and equality.
Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) – adopted in 1979 by the UN General Assembly, is often described as an international bill of rights for women. Consisting of a preamble and 30 articles, it defines what constitutes discrimination against women and sets up an agenda for national action to end such discrimination. In January 2008, responsibility for servicing CEDAW was transferred to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. Watch video explaing CEDAW.
Feminist Majority Foundation – is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. In all spheres, FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically. National Council of Women in the U.S. – founded in 1888, the National Council of Women is the oldest, non-sectarian volunteer organization of women in America, with roots that date back to the anti-slavery movement. Our founders include a who’s who of America’s most notable women: Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton, Julia Ward Howe and Sojourner Truth. After working to abolish slavery, founding members focused on ending child labor, improving workplace conditions and women’s suffrage. Today, the council works for the education, participation and advancement of women to make equality a national obligation, New York, NY.
