Rufus is your perfect mix between snuggles and adventure.  At first glance, Rufus will catch your attention with his unique athleticism.  He might be one of the fastest boxers we have ever had at the rescue. In a past life, he might have been a skilled soccer player or maybe even a talented hunting dog.  Rufus knows all his basic commands and believe it or not, we think he could probably take things to the next level and learn some special tricks if you are willing to put in the effort. 
After a fun day of playing, Rufus will eagerly follow you around the kitchen looking for his next snack or snuggle up on the couch while you read a good book. He makes the sweetest sigh as he curls up next to you.  This handsome boy is super flexible, he will happily allow you to sleep in on the weekends or get up early for that super fun hike you have always wanted to do. Whatever is on your agenda, he will be ready!  Rufus is in his golden years and has no problem skipping a day or two of exercise. The best part is that he is fully house trained.  No need for crates, puppy pads or any of that silly stuff.
