CSY SPIRITUAL LIFE
"Impact the World for Christ."
Spiritual Life at CSY
At Christian School of York, our purpose is to equip our students in the foundational teachings of the Christian faith and prepare them for a fruitful future in college and/or the workplace. Our goal as a school is to equip students to be world-changers, not only on the global scale, but also in our York community. The Bible curriculum is a carefully structured instruction addressing the Bible itself, important theological beliefs, and examining different worldviews. We desire for our students to understand complex theologies, as well as develop practical applications. Our Spiritual mission for the 2019/20 school year is #LearnLiveServe. We want to equip students to Learn from God, Live for God and Serve God’s people. Our students also attend weekly chapel services that involve worship, special speakers, skits, testimonies, and special music. |
Lower School Chapel
CSY Elementary students (K-4th grade) participate in chapel every Tuesday. Chapel is a time for students to worship and learn more about God. Guest speakers, student-performed dramas, and teacher testimonies are just some of the things that students experience during this time. In addition, once a month we recognize and honor our students at chapel. As part of these special recognitions, we recognize individuals who have been nominated for consistently putting these fruits of the spirit into action in the school or within the York community. |
Upper School Chapel
High school chapel begins with a student-led praise team directing worship. Students enjoy praising the Lord together. Messages are brought by outstanding speakers, Christian college representatives, local pastors, youth pastors, and teacher testimonies throughout the year. Our spiritual mission for this school year is #LearnLiveServe. We want to equip students to Learn from God, Live for God and Serve God’s people. In addition, once a month we recognize and honor our students at chapel. CSY Service
CSY believes students should be required to practice service modeled after our Lord Jesus Christ, who came not to be served but to serve. Each student and family member is required to serve the York community.
