Inspiration Alcona has two regular art programs for adults.
The first, which draws artists of all skill levels the weekend after Labor Day, is the annual Alcona Arts Retreat. Experienced, enthusiastic artist-instructors from across Michigan lead three-day sessions in one discipline each, with four or five to choose from each year. Advance registration is required, and also necessary to get into one of these small classes. Participants come not only from Michigan, but also from other states.
The second, designed for aspiring artists who live in or near Alcona County, is the weekly Art for Adults class. A local instructor leads this inexpensive exploration designed for people without significant experience.
