We are caring for our single parents and seniors who are experiencing food insecurity by sponsoring a food distribution every second Saturday in sponsorship with the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana.
In Matthew 25:35-37 Jesus links feeding the hungry to ministering to himself. I was hungry, and you gave me food, I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. Caring for vulnerable, hungry people is not only following Jesus' lead, it's akin to caring for Jesus, which is what grounds our work at Lincoln United Community Coalition.

On September 14, 2024, LUCC had another successful free food distribution weekend! We were graced with help from student organization representatives who assisted with unloading the food truck, separating packages and packing bags for distribution. Grambling State University organizations that represented included the Women of Empowerment, Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Gamma Gamma Chapter. We are so proud of them and desire for them to excel in all their academic endeavors. We look forward to future partnerships to help them obtain community service hours. We can do so much when we come together for a common cause. Stay up to date by clicking the Facebook link at the top of the page.
