Abraham Carter

Board Member, Treasurer

J. Abraham Carter is a native of the country of Trinidad and Tobago. He has been given many titles throughout his lifetime including: Man of God, Worship Leader, Minister of Music, Singer, Husband, Daddy, and Son. For Abraham, those titles are reminders of how God has ordered his steps, and guided him since a young child. Abraham began to develop a passion for the arts and ministry at a young age by participating in musicals and drama productions whose sole purpose was to bring a message of the hope of Jesus to the audience. This passion continued as a student at Liberty University where Abraham used his gift of voice to minister to thousands. 

Since college, Abraham has continued to serve as a worship leader at different churches and worked in the customer service industry for over 20 years. Abraham met his wife, Hannah, of 15 years while leading worship in Louisiana. They have two beautiful daughters whose names mean life and joy. Abraham recognizes the importance of the Arts but understands the greater importance of character and integrity over performance. These are the values that have shaped his life, and he uses his gifts and talents to gladly serve others.

​One of Abraham’s favorite quotes is, “Lead in righteousness.” Abraham is excited about partnering with KPCT because of their principled vision to create a space where the kingdom of God is advanced through the Arts.
