KCBMHI Membership
The KCBMHI is committed to acknowledging and diligently supporting and strengthening the Black community. Our mission focuses on expanding awareness, representation, and de-stigmatization of Black mental health within the Kansas City metro area.
Membership Categories:
Practitioner Members: Black, Black Adjacent, BIPOC mental health professionals with licenses, credentials, or specializations from state regulatory boards working within private practices. These professionals must have an NPI and/or EIN for practice credentials and practice within a sole proprietorship LLC, ESCO, or non-profit with proof of malpractice insurance.
Agency Members: Black, Black Adjacent, BIPOC mental health professionals with credentialing working within a KC metro agency and institution providing direct behavioral health services.
Community Health Members: Black, Black Adjacent, BIPOC community professionals without state or agency Black mental health professions who have an interest in mental wellness and the pursuit of psycho-education, support, and/or career opportunities. These members provide alternative means of mental wellness outside of clinical practice.
Membership is free until Juneteenth 2025. Join us in our mission to empower and uplift the Black community by promoting mental health and well-being.
