Dr. Jones is a board-certified pediatrician with widely varied experiences for over 30 years. Originally from Chicago, IL, she relocated to Las Vegas in 2002. Her pediatric work includes a variety of settings from rural and inner-city practices to a multi-site private practice. She has served as a research investigator, has trained in medical aesthetics, and worked as a physician consultant. Around 2012, she became a passionate patient advocate for medicinal cannabis and integrative medicine, ultimately starting a company, in 2018, called Wildflower Medical Consultants.

Dr. Jones was an appointed member of the Clark County (Nevada) Green Ribbon Advisory Panel that helped to establish the regulations for Nevada's recreational use program. She has also served on the local cannabis centered boards of G5 Cultivation, Mother Herb, Nevada Wellness Center and was a Core Member and Director of Medical Voices for Cannabis Equity and Inclusion Community of Nevada.

Currently, she is an inaugural board member of the Association for Cannabis Health Equity and Medicine (ACHEM), where she serves as the Chairman of the Freedom Initiative and the Co-Chairman of the Policy committee. Dr. Jones is a member of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians, The International Society of Cannabis Pharmacists, and the National Association of Black Cannabis Lawyers. She also serves on two additional community boards, namely Broadway in the HOOD, and Friends of Parkinson's. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
