Hongbei Lu (MD)
Dr. Lu was a medical doctor and experienced pediatrician who graduated from Wenzhou Medical University in China. She is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté in France. Her main research interests lie in defining novel approaches to understanding the effectiveness of influenza vaccines and the severity of respiratory viral infections. Dr. Lu coordinates the PEDSIDEA project in France (Partnering for Enhanced Digital Surveillance of Influenza-Like Disease and the Effect of Antivirals and Vaccines).
On behalf of ViVI, she is working on the i-Move-Flu Project at two sites in France, the University Hospitals (CHU) in Besançon and Dijon. I-Move-flu is a vaccine effectiveness network project funded by WHO-Europe. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Dr. Lu also became involved in I-Move_COVID-19 a European Commission/H2020 project to study the impact of COVID-19 in hospitals and communities across Europe. Young ViVI member since 2019. |
