Patrick Obermeier, MD

Patrick Obermeier has worked with the Vienna Vaccine Safety Initiative since 2011. He graduated from Charité University in Berlin, Germany in 2017, where he also completed his MD thesis in pediatric infectious diseases. He continues his research at the interface of clinical care and virology with the Vienna Vaccine Safety Initiative, and as a PhD student at the Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté in Besançon, France, now in his final year. His main research focus and interests lie in the field of clinical virology, tropical medicine, and next-generation pathogen detection methods.
