Dr. Saman Seng (MD)
Dr. Saman Seng is a native of Cambodia, an experienced pediatrician, and the director of Lotus Pediatric and Pediatric Medical Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Lotus Pediatric Clinic is a model clinic for the delivery of high-quality pediatric healthcare in Cambodia. The clinic values interdisciplinary teamwork, where physicians, nurses, pharmacists and support staff are all working hand-in-hand provide the best possible care to children with acute and chronic health needs. The goal of Dr. Saman and his team is to build, from the ground up, a state-of-the-art medical care system for all children in the Region, where disease prevention, the promotion of healthy lifestyles as well as rehabilitative and palliative care are provided in a family-friendly environment. Over time, the system will expand its reach to include different areas in Cambodia while engaging in quality improvement and innovation. The clinic is also active in digital health and on social media while running its own radio station to provide up-to-date health information to children and their families. Dr. Seng works closely with the Cambodia Ministry of Health, the Cambodian Institute Pasteur and NAMRID.
After completing the Global Pediatrics Leadership Program at Harvard University, he joined the Vienna Vaccine Safety Scientific Initiative Think Tank in 2018 to collaborate in infectious diseases and vaccine safety research as well as in global quality improvement and disease surveillance programs. |
